For instance, disputes where an imbalance of power can put one side at a disadvantage. Or situations where communication between the parties has broken down to such an extent that even a neutral third party can’t help.

Additionally, not all forms of alternative dispute resolution conclude with a legally binding result, which may be a problem in some situations.

When ADR methods don’t work or aren’t appropriate, the case will go to court.
